Regretfully, in our country, due to various security and economic changes and the indifference of former governments, no attention and focus has been paid to this matter, relinquishing many people to resort to this illegal act and fill their pockets through the illegal way.
During former governments, there was no justice and fairness and all of them were completely disrupted, nothing was in its place and everyone did whatever they wanted.
One of the worst acts that overspread in the cities and in most parts of the country’s markets, was the illegitimate act of hoarding and selling at high prices, where some people kept their materials, property and goods until the holy month of Ramadan arrives or any other changes happening in the country’s situation so that they can sell the commodities in high prices and make a lot of profit.
But, after the takeover of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, all corruption and extorting were destroyed, and hoarding and overselling also decreased to a high extent.
But, there are still businessmen hoarding materials and properties, particularly edible items in their warehouses. This wrong act forces other shopkeepers and grocery markets to sell them at high prices to poor poverty-affected people, either along the road or inside the markets. This can only face the poor, needy, and unemployed people with big problems.
The benefits just goes to the pockets of a handful of hoarders, while the poor people only suffer heavy consequences.
All traders and businesspersons of the country should avoid hoarding and high-price selling, as they see their compatriots facing harsh economic problems.
The related officials of the Islamic Emirate should stop hoarding and bring the hoarders and those selling goods in high prices to the law. The entire people of the country, particularly, the Kabul residents, should also cooperate with the related organs in this field and share any information about those hoarding and selling in high prices with the relevant organs.
