People’s cooperation with officials a must to thwart insecurity

The enemies of peace and security, once again shed the blood of scores of innocents in the west of the country’s capital. At least seven people have been martyred and dozens others wounded, after a powerful blast rocked west of Kabul city, according to official reports from security agencies. The blast, according to reports, hit a passenger coaster-type van in Dasht-e-Barchi, one of the heavily crowded areas west of the capital. The number of casualties, unfortunately, has been said to be higher than reported or may rise as some of the wounded, according to eyewitnesses, were in critical condition. Over the past few months, several similar blasts happened in some parts of the country’s capital, only, claiming innocent lives, including women and children. The people of Afghanistan are fed up with continued attacks and want the security forces to act seriously in this respect. Such attacks, if carried out by those who claim they are Muslim, are unjustifiable as there is no reason for killing innocent civilians; particularly, women and children who are on their way home or just going to their routine works. But, if they were alien agents and those who were trained to disturb the security of the people and rebel against the Islamic system, then this is the responsibility of the Islamic Emirate’s security forces to foil any similar incidents in cooperation with the people in the future. This is not only the responsibility of the security forces, but the people’s cooperation is most needed to step up against any type of insurgency and foil all criminal activities all over the country. The ordinary people, by providing exact reports about the places, locations, training centers, and hideouts of anti-security elements and sharing them with the security entities, can play an effective role in preventing criminal activities, including explosions and suicide attempts in the country. On the other hand, the Islamic Emirate intelligence agencies, everywhere, in the country, should speed up their efforts to find the hideouts of criminals who are planning the disturbance of security and cowardly attacking innocent people. So, let’s join hands; either security officials or ordinary people to work toward the security of our nation and the development of our country and foil any subversive activities, wherever reported.
