Negotiation key to overcome challenges
In his recent remarks, at the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad,
few days ago, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi urged for holding negotiations between the Pakistani government and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The country’s Foreign Minister said: “As for Pakistan’s security concerns, we want the government of Pakistan and the TTP to sit together and find a solution to these problems.”
Also, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), reaffirmed its commitment not to allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s territory for attacks on Pakistan or any other country and urged the two sides (Pak government and its rival group TTP) to gather around a negotiating table and solve their problems through a diplomatic channel.
This is not the first time that the Islamic Emirate urged the two sides — both the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) — to overcome any of their problems through political dialogue, it has long called on the two sides to not allow aliens interfere in their country’s internal affairs and fuel discords among the Muslim people (of Pakistan) and get together around a negotiating table to tackle all their problems and get united for a developed Pakistan, the positive results of which could be benefited by its neighboring Afghanistan.
The move by the two sides of the Pakistani government and its rival Islamic group of Taliban to independently solve their problems via dialogue, would help the two countries sort out their problems, turn their common
challenges into opportunities, boost bilateral trade and ensure economic cooperation.
The Islamic Emirate stance based on its official policy towards Pakistan, is that it never wants the flame of war and bloodshed to engulf the immediate neighboring country.
If we have the two neighbors secure and peaceful, the two countries can go ahead and step up effectively in enhancing regional connectivity, supporting the mega projects such as TAPI, CASA 1000, TAP-500kv and trans-
Afghan railway.
Also, as the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs said, the Islamic Emirate wants to develop economic relations with Pakistan and Central Asia, as the IEA’s foreign policy is based on dialogue and mutual relations.
So, this is imperative for the Pakistan government to work for the prosperity of its nation by resuming talks with its rival Taliban movement and do not allow insecurity, mayhem and chaos to overwhelm the country.
On the other side, this is in the interest of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to show flexibility (as the holy Islamic teachings require Muslimnation to do) and abide by the willing of their nation by giving up war and
violence.
None of the two nations would witness well-being, peace and security, unless the two sides manage to overcome their problems independently and through honest bilateral cooperation.
Let’s have the two nations peaceful, advanced and tranquil through logical and practical ways and avoid what leads to ruin and devastation, as Afghanistan had no good experience from the last long years of conflict and
bloodshed.
