Muslims around the world, celebrate the day with fervor and enthusiasm and the day is considered to be one of the most auspicious day for them as it reminds the kindness, compassion and teachings of the
Holy Prophet (pbuh).
The auspicious day is not only celebrated by Sunni Muslims and this is not a religious festival to relate to a special Islamic school, but Shia Muslims, around the globe, also celebrate the day with joy and pleasure.
But, is it enough to only celebrate the day without focusing on the importance of other aspects of the Holy Prophet’s life?
Let us understand some instructions about the Seerah of the HolyProphet, then we will understand what should we do to become the real followers of Him (pbuh).
First, this is to be noted that Seerah al-Nabi is the biography of the Holy Prophet including His life, teachings and actions from His birth in Macca to His demise in Madina; something should be observed and practiced by a real Muslim.
The Holy Prophet’s honesty and integrity, his kindness and mercifulness, his generousness and benevolence, which is gifted to Him by Allah Almighty, since His prophecy to His death, are of His Seerah, which all Muslims are obliged to exercise and call others to exercise. His behavior and treatment and justice for the entire people, including Muslims and non-Muslims and His good treatment with the whole
individuals are counted His Seerah.
The Holy Prophet, after receiving the first revelation from Allah, was commanded to recite Allah’s words and to call the people to Islam, but faced strong reactions and oppositions from the people of Makka.
He, despite this oppositions, continued to preach Islam and finally gained hundreds of followers.
The increase in the followers of the Holy Prophet, did not happen due to the fertility of His force, but due to his good ethics and moralities and his well-behavior with those who were called to convert Muslim.
So, besides our obligation to celebrate the Eid of Milad al-Nabi, we should do our best to practice what He (pbuh) did during His life and promote and publicize all His characteristics and ethics among the real
followers of the Holy Islam.
Nowadays, Muslims, not only in our country, but, around the world, are just stepping up to the celebration of the Holy Prophet, rather to practice them in their lives.
They should have sympathy on the people who are their subordinates, when they are the leaders, authorities and in charges of the affairs. They, (if the leaders), should implement justice among different tribes of the nation without discrimination and they have to do all what the Holy Prophet (pbuh) has instructed them and invite the people to obey them as much as required.
So, if we are going to be the real followers of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), we have the abovementioned responsibilities to do, besides celebrating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet every year.
