Government inclusive, efforts underway to do more
The 5th Moscow Format meeting once again discussed what the previous meetings on Afghanistan, focused on, with the participants persistently asking the U.S. to honor its commitment towards the poverty-stricken nation.
The meeting which was held on Friday in the city of Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan in Russia, exchanged views on some issues relating to the formation of an inclusive government, ensuring human rights and fighting terrorism in Afghanistan.
Representatives of more than 10 countries, attending the meeting called economic sanctions concerning in Afghanistan and urged for the release of the Afghan foreign assets by the U.S.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Emirate’s acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi called on the world countries to strengthen interaction with Afghanistan under the Islamic system and not to prescribe methods of governance to the Islamic Emirate.
Undoubtedly Afghanistan is now in dire need of cooperation and expects regional countries to engage with the Islamic Emirate to help the people build their country instead of advising how to form the government, as the
Afghans understand how to build and maintain their own government.
If the world wants Afghanistan to form a good and responsible system, then it should avoid meddling in our internal affairs and let us make the future of our nation as we have never interfered in others’ affairs nor have
given prescription for the formation of other governments.
We need official engagement and strong mutual cooperation based on international standards, to work for the Afghans to bolster their economy, build their capacity, do something for themselves and help develop their
country.
Human rights are secured in Afghanistan and efforts are underway to do more in the fields of education all over the country, as the Islamic Emirate authorities have repeatedly reiterated.
This is incorrect and inappropriate judgment to say that terrorist groups are still active in Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate can strongly and surely announce that Afghanistan is a free-terrorist country as all anti-security elements are now cracked down and the atmosphere for all legitimate activities are provided.
On the other hand, we welcome the remarks of some countries’ representatives in the Moscow Format meeting urging the release of Afghanistan’s assets the harms of which are only felt by the ordinary people.
U.S.’s persistence to continue blocking of Afghanistan’s foreign assets, as some participants asserted in the Moscow Format, is counterproductive and only exacerbates the situation and further complicates the already challenging living conditions for ordinary Afghans.
The current Afghanistan never wants the physical presence of any other country under any circumstances, and considers the return of foreign military infrastructure to our country and other neighboring states unacceptable
and the people of Afghanistan are ready for another sacrifice, otherwise. But we want a coexistence with the world and the neighboring countries based on our national interests and regarding the Islamic Emirate, it is considering the Islamic teachings and accepted traditions of the Afghans.
We never want more war in the country like what was committed by the U.S. and its allies over the past two
decades that caused irreparable destruction in the conflicted nation.
Also, this is the responsibility of the International community and the regional countries to keep on urging the U.S. to
live up to its commitments and its responsibility for Afghanistan to unfreeze the Afghan assets and avoid preventing
world states from a good engagement with the Islamic Emirate.
The U.S. and its allies have not only kept continuing assets but they cut up aid and imposed unilateral sanctions that
is worsening the suffering of the Afghan people, something should be stopped.
At the end, this must be noted and once again emphasized that all ethnic groups are busy working within the Islamic
Emirate system and in addition, efforts are underway to do more in this respect, so let the Afghans make their own fate,
build their future and other issues will get better gradually.
