Focus on domestic products for self-sufficiency

Domestic products should be promoted in every field so that Afghanistan can be self-sufficient in most of their needs as soon as possible and get rid of the foreigners aids.
As the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar, said at the opening ceremony of Imam Abu Hanifa’s 2nd National and International Expo in Kabul, governments organize national and international exhibitions to introduce their industrial and agricultural products to the public.
Likewise, the Islamic Emirate conducted numerous exhibitions, including the recently largest one; Imam Abu Hanifa Expo in which around 600 booths showcased various industrial and agricultural products of the country’s farmers and industrialists.
It is certainly an important and tangible reality every nation that wants independence, prosperity and development, therefore it is inevitable that they will find themselves free of the need of others and any
tools that are necessary for life and survival, such as food, clothing, medicine, defense equipment, etc., will definitely be produced inside own country.
Because those who receive these necessary goods from other countries, then they have to accept their conditions, which not only restrict their independence but also force them into subordination.
In addition, it should be clear to every Afghans that independence without self-sufficiency in domestic products is incomplete and false, but now the question is, how can we reach sufficiency so that we can
compete with the world and neighboring countries and enjoy prosperity and development.
The answer would be this that continued hard work, managing priorities, overcoming desires and being satisfied with a simple life can lead us to self-sufficiency and real independence.
Of course, in order to reach this goal, the system and the rulers are obliged to make the people of their nation aware of the importance, value, benefits and best results of self-sufficiency.
On the other hand, traders and companies should be supported and encouraged and their challenges should be addressed to invest in the production of essential household needs inside the country.
The most important cooperation that the government could do with businessmen is to not bother them in giving licenses and not discouraging them, as well as not to impose heavy taxes on them, and to
make it easier for them to meet their own needs such as land, electricity, etc., also to increase the customs duty on the same kind of imports from foreign countries.
In addition, government officials and institutions should campaign for the use of domestic products in their goods and other personal equipment, at least in a symbolic way.
Maybe in this way, we can finally reach self-sufficiency and get rid of other countries’ aids.
