Dozens of people have lost their lives, as many injured and scores of houses destroyed due to recent heavy floods which have hit a number of provinces of the country. According to reports, in some mountainous provinces, such as Panjshir, Badakhshan and other remote regions of the country, heavy rainfall and snowstorms
have caused severe damage to the residents, farmers and landowners. Currently, most parts of mountainous provinces, are covered with untimely snow.
Hundreds of livestock have also been, reportedly, perished in the recent natural disaster.
Tens of hectares of land, mostly agricultural and cultivable, have been washed out and tens of blossomy gardens have lost their possible future fruits.
Landowners and farmers are now facing critical challenges as they have missed their time of work and cultivation of their lands and they are now in need of dire cooperation and assistance.
Some foreign aids agencies based in the provincial centers, according to local officials, have immediately provided aids to the affected families in the flood-hit areas.
The related organs of the Islamic Emirate should do their best to seriously investigate the affected areas and along with the whole country’s businesspeople, shopkeepers and other charitable individuals, should provide enough aids, including makeshift shelters, warm clothing [as the weather turned cold due to continued
rains and snow fall] and other needed items, besides enough edible items.
Local people who are safe from the floods, should also take part in the aid process for the affected families and do their religious and humanitarian responsibilities in this respect.
Over the past many years, in some provinces of the country, hundreds of families have been affected by natural disasters, such as floods, landslides, earthquakes, etc. and the then organs failed to do enough for them, but, after the restoration of the Islamic Emirate, the people have found their real supporters.
When they return forcedly home by the neighboring countries, they are provided with urgent aids, shelter and other essentials, something that had not been done during the past two corrupt regimes. When they are facing any natural problems, they are cooperating with, as soon as possible.
Thousands of earthquake-affected families have been provided with newly built houses in the country’s southern and western provinces, and tens of thousands of people, after returning home from the neighboring countries, were provided with shelters, aids and other needed materials and recently, (like before) hundreds of flood affected families are provided with assistance and the process by the Islamic Emirate is going on. But the government cannot do all of them on its own and there is a need for assistance from other aid agencies, including national traders and international aid organizations.
