It’s less than two months to winter, a relatively cold and cloudy weather is felt and seen covering the country’s atmosphere. Moreover, long years of drought and the most dangerous air pollution have recently faced our people, particularly children, with heavy challenges. Air pollution is one of the biggest environmental risks to children all over the globe. On the other hand, climate change is threatening to reverse decades of world progress and according to researches, as the world warms at a faster rate than at any point in recorded history, human health is on the frontline. Climate change and densely polluted air are threatening to reverse decades of progress towards better health and well-being, particularly in the most vulnerable communities, reports suggest. It’s time for urgent action to protect the next generation, by providing awareness about the harms and negative impacts of climate change and polluted air countrywide, particularly in the populated cities. As the severe weather is due to arrive and seasonal diseases are feared to spread around the country, particularly, in the capital, the whole people, roughly parents should do their best to protect themselves and their vulnerable children against the most possible effects. Also, the citizens and public bath owners should avoid burning dense smoke-producing materials such as rubbers and plastic in their kilns, and even keep away from heavily using coals in their stoves, as it is one of the major contributors to the outbreak of various seasonal illnesses during cold weather. The related organs of the Islamic Emirate, particularly the municipality, should also advise the citizens to avoid heavy use of coal as well as take serious measures against those violating the rule and continue burning smoke-producing items. Likewise, the government should put pressure on the firewood and coal importers to reduce the prices of fuel to enable the poverty-affected people to buy their needed fuel for winter. If both the officials and the organs concerned and the people join hands to fight air pollution through law enforcement and remaining law observers, we would witness the lowest level of air pollution and the lowest rate of diseases in the country
