This is a great and truth-based remark made by the Islamic Emirate’s acting Minister of Interior, Sirajuddin Haqqani who said Pakistan has turned what it did well for the Afghans for decades into hostility after the hosting stepped up toward mass deportation of the Afghan refugees.
Speaking at a gathering in one of the country’s provinces [Ghazni], the acting minister said that the deportation of Afghan refugees by Pakistani officials is against all national and international laws.
He said: “The current decision is unfair because there was a long time of goodness. This (action) turned all the goodness into hostility. It was not only against norms of good neighborhood but the whole world”.
Considering the critical situation of the returnees, addressing the same gathering, other participants called on the whole citizens of the country to help with the deportees who are currently, forced
by the Pakistani officials to return home.
Undeniably, Pakistan, as one of the hosting countries with hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees, failed to keep its good neighborhood maintained by its newly adopted ill-treatment against the destitute Afghans and their forced deportation.
Over the past decades of the former Soviet Union invasion of the country, both the government and the people of Pakistan treated well with the flowing Afghans into its territory, where they provided them with shelter and necessary facilities.
In particular, the ordinary people of Pakistan treated with the Afghan immigrants like brother and their relatives and spared no effort to help them with easing in running small businesses to provide prolific live conditions, when they left all their properties after the former Red Army invasion of the country. The then governments of Pakistan, also, provided thousands of Afghan refugees’ children with education and healthcare and ensured their security during their long years of stay all over its territory.
But, the recent expulsion plan, by the hosting country’s politicians to massively deport the Afghan refugees, has disappointed both the current incumbent government and the people of Afghanistan and the move to torture and mistreat the refugees has completely overshadowed their past goodness and beautification.
So, let’s step up any kind of services for our returnees within the framework of communitywide sessions and through the committees, the Islamic Emirate has established for collecting aids for the returning Afghans
