Recently, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has formed a joint commission from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Justice and General Attorney to extradite Afghan detainees which are imprisoned in the regional and neighboring countries
As it is clear to all, a large number of Afghan nationals are imprisoned in some foreign countries and they are mistreated and there is no law to address their challenges legally.
A few days ago, officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan have officially handed over a number of Afghan detainees to the Afghan officials which caused the pleasure of Afghans and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
This is to be noted that the country’s Attorney General Mawlavi Shamsuddin Sharyati visited the Islamic Republic of Iran and during his visit met with a number of Iranian Judicial authorities and talked about the extradition of Afghan detainees, as he paved the way for the extradition of more than 260 Afghan detainees from the Iranian jails.
On the other hand, a large number of Afghan detainees were released from Pakistani jails in recent months and the Islamic Emirate asked them to process the documents of the remaining Afghan detainees and hand over them to the Afghan officials.
The Islamic Emirate in its last Cabinet meeting tasked a committee to facilitate the return of Afghan detainees who have been released from the jails.
During four decades of war in Afghanistan tens of thousands of Afghans have migrated outside the country particularly, to Iran and Pakistan and unfortunately, they have always been mistreated and dishonored in the host countries.
Those Afghans have been imprisoned in some countries, particularly in Iran and Pakistan and their challenges have not been addressed legally and this has caused Afghan detainees to be imprisoned without any guilt for a long time.
Lately, with the efforts of the Islamic Emirate, a considerable number of Afghan detainees have been released from the jails of neighboring countries.
The security situation shows that the security and political situation are better than the Iran and Pakistan and every day a large number of Afghan refugees are returning from outside countries to the country.
